About Dos Primos Reposado Tequila
Dos Primos Reposado Tequila starts with a blend of the finest agaves from Los Altos and valley of Jalisco. Distilled at Distilladora Gonzalez Lux in Arandas, Jalisco, the process is overseen by Master Distiller Rodolfo Gonzales. After the agave hearts are hand-harvested using coa knives, they are slowly cooked in a stainless steel oven. Then, the hearts are shredded in a mill, extracting the agave juice. The juice is fermented using the family’s own yeast strain before being double-distilled. The reposado then rests for 6 months in ex-bourbon casks, resulting in a balanced expression with the perfect balance of oak and spice notes. The 80-proof tequila won a Double Gold medal at the SIP Awards in 2 consecutive years ― 2022 and 2023.
